The journey for racial equality has long been part of PepsiCo’s DNA--and we recognize that we have much work to do. Together with our brands Pepsi, Mountain DEW, Gatorade, Rockstar Energy, and others, we are committed to a more than $400 million set of initiatives over five years to lift up Black communities and increase Black representation at PepsiCo.


That includes supporting Black-owned restaurants through mentoring, management training and financing through partnerships like ours with OKC Black Eats to celebrate and support Black chefs and restaurants that create delicious food, bring people together and create jobs and uplift local communities. Through this partnership with OKC Black Eats, PepsiCo intends to uncover and implement effective strategies to strengthen support for Black-owned restaurants.


Since inception, OKC Black Eats has made an impact in Oklahoma by emphasizing intentional spending at Black-owned businesses. Through phenomenal campaigns such as OKC Black Restaurant Weeks, Black Restaurant Bingo, Foodie Fest of OKC, Juneteenth, and Sunday Social Brunch, we at PepsiCo are excited to become more engaged in the local Black-owned business community. We celebrate OKC Black Eats’ mantra: “Our Mission Is Bigger Than Food,” and believe this partnership will create a lasting impact in Oklahoma.
