About the Event

Foodie Fest, formerly known as The Black Foodie Summit,  showcases culinary talents of Culinarians of Color throughout Oklahoma City Metro. Black-owned restaurants and chefs WILL ALWAYS BE OUR PRIORITY!  OKC Black Eats is choosing to be intentionally inclusive to our colleagues within Indigenous, Latino, and Asian culinary communities.

Why brand change?  Transparently, COVID-19 rolled back the veil of challenges facing minority-owned restaurants.  In addition, the lack of intentional business support resources for minority-owned restaurants increases the likelihood of permanent closure to OKC's independent restauranteurs.  OKC is becoming a foodie destination and Culinarians of Color deserve an inclusive platform to showcase talents and attract customers.

The steering committee is in regular communication with tourism professionals to implement social distancing practices for our guests.  Safety & peace of mind is our top priority.

For sponsorship opportunities, email events@okcblackeats.com.

Proceeds benefit the OKC Black Eats Foundation to provide technical assistance programs for Black and Minority-Owned restaurants in OKC.
